THE NEED
Children do best in the security of a safe and loving family.
And yet, many families don’t receive the physical and social support necessary to help them thrive.
Currently in Wisconsin…
1 in 3 children live in homes that struggle to support basic needs.
More than 5,900 children are living in out-of-home care (as of January 2025).
Many Wisconsin families lack meaningful community connections that can make all the difference in times of need. Wisconsin ranks 31st nationally in social support and engagement.
Many families receive support services but remain socially isolated. At the same time, many community members genuinely want to keep children safe, secure, and loved, but are unaware of the needs.
THE SOLUTION
When we work together, every child can be safe, secure, and loved.
By connecting communities to simply and effectively meet critical needs for local families, we can strengthen families and decrease the number of children experiencing difficult outcomes related to poverty.
Effective collaboration between child-serving agencies and the local community means families can receive timely support for real-time needs.
This approach allows us to do more than simply meet physical needs. By connecting people who can help with families who need help, we open the door for meaningful, lasting connection.
And connection changes everything.
