Local Community Networks connect child-serving agencies with churches, businesses, and individuals to meet urgent needs for children and families in a simple and effective way.

How It Works

  • First, a child-serving agency identifies and verifies a need and enters it into the CarePortal platform.

  • Alerts are instantly shared with a network of local churches, businesses, and individuals who are prepared to work together to meet the need.

  • Items are gathered and delivered directly to the family by trained response team volunteers, facilitating community connection and relieving the burden on agency workers.

How It Works

Community Networks, connected through CarePortal, meet practical needs – like furniture for a single mom who is starting over after leaving an abusive relationship or essential baby items for an expecting mom.
