By establishing Community Networks county by county, Family Connect mobilizes local communities to meet essential needs for children and families. By providing help and connection when it’s needed most, we strengthen families and help to keep vulnerability from becoming a crisis.
The stakes are high when it comes to children.
The effects of poverty can create a hidden crisis for many children and families, often contributing to poor mental health, academic and employment challenges, housing instability, and increased risk of incarceration, and trafficking. These outcomes can weaken the foundation of our communities, leading strained resources and greater social costs for everyone.
